7 years of Trusted Event Staffing for Kent’s Most Iconic Christmas Light Trail

The Brief

Firmly established as one of the UK’s most-loved festive experiences, Christmas at Bedgebury transforms the Pinetum into a wonderland of light and colour each winter. From softly lit doves to neon reeds and sparkling tunnels, the trail offers a magical evening for families, friends and festive day-trippers alike.

Our relationship with the event began in 2018. The organisers were looking for local, experienced seasonal event staff to manage their car parks and ensure the safety of guests from the moment they arrived. A proactive team approach and consistent delivery were essential to the event’s long-term success.

Our Contribution

Starting in 2018, we provided trained car park stewards to manage guest flow and support safe arrival and departure. Our early team focused on roles such as:

• Car park ticket scanning

• Traffic stewarding in partnership with the event’s Traffic Management Company

• Guest guidance from car park to trail entrance

By 2021, our role at the event transitioned to full trail management support, including:

• Front of House Managers and Supervisors to manage the FOH experience

• Trail Supervisors to manage the trail experience

• Front of House Assistants to scan tickets and welcome guests

• Trail Stewards to assist with directions, answer queries, and maintain a friendly presence throughout the route

Each role was carried out in all weather conditions, outdoors, and required excellent communication, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

Challenges and Successes

Bedgebury’s unique setting means guest safety is always a top priority. Keeping the trail a safe and memorable experience requires tight coordination and reliable staff.

Our consistent, professional approach has made Festivall Staff a trusted delivery partner year after year. In 2024, we once again provided over 25 staff per day, maintaining our reputation for reliable, high-quality event staffing in Kent.
